A diverse and flexible stylist, Sonia has been an independent hairstylist and make-up artist for over twelve years. She has worked in Aveda Concept Salons and Spas in Bethesda, Capitol Hill and Alexandria. Having also worked as a private stylist, she is prepared to handle client requests ranging from fashion savvy and chic, to upscale and conservative. Sonia values relationships with her clients and takes every opportunity to share tips and tricks to keep client’s hair and skin looking great! "I love using Aveda products because they are environmentally friendly and healthy for my clients." Sonia’s specialty is creating shape and balance using "dry cutting" technique with shears, razors, and clippers. Her favorite challenge is customizing color for each client, leaving them feeling like a celebrity. Additionally she continues her advance training each year attending the Salon/Spa Convention and Aveda East Institute.
